BECOME A VOLUNTEER

Volunteers make a meaningful difference to our community, supporting our programs and the daily running of the House. Volunteering is a wonderful way to form social connections, share your skills, learn new things, have fun and give back to your local community.

VOLUNTEER rewards program

Active Goonawarra volunteers who have been with us for six months get to join our rewards program, where they will have access to one of the following rewards:

It’s just one way we can say thank you to our volunteers for the contributions they make.

What can i do?

There are so many things that you can help our organisation with as a volunteer.

Help run one of our classes and make new connections, volunteer alongside Tara at one of our playgroups, stop by and help out in the garden or dive into a bit of admin in the office. A few hours each week or even once a month can make a massive difference to the house and our community.

Click below for Current Volunteer opportunities. If you don’t see something for you or are not quite sure how you could help out, fill out an enquiry form or simply give us a call. Goonawarra welcomes all in our community, and there is an opportunity for everyone to be involved.

What are you waiting for?

JOIN OUR COMMITTEE

Goonawarra Neighbourhood House is an Incorporated Association governed by a volunteer Committee.

The Committee for Goonawarra NH is always on the lookout for new members to join and help shape the future of Goonawarra. No special skills are required, simply bring the skills you have from your day job or life experience. Our current committee is made up of volunteers from Education, Business & Finance backgrounds.

You can be as involved as you would like as a committee member. All we need is a few hours a month and a willingness to help shape the future of our local community.

We are currently looking for new members to join our committee with backgrounds in People, Community Development, or Social Work.
